DAY 1 - NEW YORK:
- Depart JFK for an overnight flight to Athens. Full service on board. (D,B)
- Arrival in Athens. A Greekhoneymooner Tours representative welcomes you to Greece and transfers you to your hotel. Rest of the day at leisure.
- Morning sightseeing tour of Athens. Visit the Acropolis and the world-famous on-site museum. Spend the afternoon at leisure, or explore this
fascinating city on your own. (B)
- Today is free. Spend some time at Constitution Square viewing the changing of the guards at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. (B)
- Day at leisure. In the late afternoon, transfer to Piraeus to board the 7 Day cruise to the Greek Islands and Turkey. Tonight, enjoy the shipboard activities. (B,D)
- Late afternoon arrival in Istanbul. Enjoy the nightlife of Istanbul, enjoy a delicious Turkish dinner or have a drink at a local café. (B,L,D)
- Take an optional excursion to the City of Istanbul where you will visit Aghia Sophia, the Topkapi Palace, the Blue Mosque, Grand Bazaar and much more. (B,L,D)
- Arrive in Mykonos, where you can enjoy a fun-filled afternoon and evening. Walk the cobblestone streets, visit the many shops, enjoy a drink while taking in the view of the ocean or enjoy dinner at a local taverna. (B,L,D)
- Arrive in Patmos and take an optional excursion to the Monastery and Cave where John the Divine wrote the book of revelations. Sail on to Kusadasi where you may take an optional excursion to the ancient city of Ephesus. (B,L,D)
- Arrive in the early morning where you will spend a full day. Take an optional excursion of Rhodes and the Acropolis of Lindos to visit the Temple of Athena. (B,L,D)
- Early arrival in Heraklion, the capital of Crete. Take an optional excursion to the city of Heraklion and the Palace of King Minos at Knossos. Sail on to Santorini, where you may take an optional excursion to the excavation site at Akrotiri where recent Minoan excavations support the theories that Santorini might be the fabled continent of Atlantis. - Return to Piraeus. Disembark after breakfast and transfer to the airport for the return flight to New York. (B)
