Departing from Athens we will travel west along the scenic coast until we reach the stunning “archeological feat” of the Corinth Canal where we will stop for a short time to take in the sights. A short drive brings us to the ancient town of Corinth, once one of the richest cities in the known world. Here we will get the chance to visit the remains of the huge “Agora” (market place) and Apollo’s Temple. Ancient Corinth was the home for 2 years of St. Paul, the Apostle and it was here he wrote the 1st and 2nd Thessalonians (AD 52). Following our visit to Corinth we will make a brief stop at the ancient port of Kechreai before returning to Athens in time for lunch (not included).
